Volunteers Needed for Dance-a-Thon
4/17/2017 10:17 pm
We are ready to get dancing. The 4th annual Dance-A-Thon is this Friday, April 21, 2017. We need your help to make it a success. Even if you have a kid that does not want to attend the dance you can still help.
We are looking for bakers (or buyers) to make/bring desserts to sell at the event. We also need people to help with set-up, checking in the dancers, food servers and clean up. We are also looking for a parent who is willing to drive to Chick-Fil-A to pick up pre-paid meals (or maybe a parent who drives by the Chick-Fil-A on Backlick Rd on the way home). And of course any help with donations of water, juice boxes and coolers with ice is always appreciated. Please note that this is perfect and fun opportunity for teens to get their volunteers hours.
Please use this link to Sign Up.

Seeking Local Vendor Donations for International Children's Day Silent Auction on May 12th
On May 12th, there will be a silent auction as part of the International Children's Day event at Orange Hunt Elementary School. We are seeking donations from local vendors as items in the auction. This is a great opportunity to market your products to hundreds of local parents in the community. In the past we have had local thirtyone, jamberry, Stella and Dot, MaryKay consultants provide baskets and other items to bid on. In addition, you can provide marketing and business cards on the table during the event. If you are interested, please contact Brian Plotnick via email at email@example.com.
Seeking Volunteers to Help Out at the International Children's Day Event
Please see the Signup Genius here to volunteer.
Thanks for your continued support,

Volunteers Needed - Take Home Reading Program
3/31/2017 2:13 pm
Volunteers are needed to maintain the K-2 take home carts. We need one person each day of the week to straighten up the book carts that are housed in the hallway outside of the K-2nd grade classrooms. This includes these items:
- Making sure the colored dots are on the books. If a dot is missing, pull the book so it can be labeled correctly.
- If a book is too worn looking, pull it from the cart.
- Place the books so that the biggest books are in the back and the smallest books are in the front.
- Make sure the titles of the books are facing the front.
- Make sure each book is in the correct place according to the colored dots. (red dot books should be put together, blue dots should be together, etc.) This is important because children get books that are on their reading level by looking in the slot with a colored dot their teacher specifies.
- Clean out any trash that is in the carts and throw it away.
- Children choose books in the morning, so volunteers are needed after 10:00 a.m.
If you have any questions or to volunteer, please contact Lib Bryant, Reading Specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
